Lu Chan, a gifted young martial artist, arrives in the legendary Chen Village seeking to learn Chen-style Tai Chi but is rejected by the villagers. But when a figure from their past returns, threatening to destroy the village with a steam-powered machine and a railroad project, Lu Chan becomes the village's last hope.
